Cold Spring Works helps local service businesses — plumbers, HVAC, electricians, roofers, and similar trades — find the places where their website and phone setup are quietly losing them booked jobs.
Most of these problems are small, specific, and invisible from the inside. We look for them the way a customer would: by using your site and calling your number. Then we write down what we find.
What we actually look at
- Whether a “request a call back” actually reaches a person, and how long that takes.
- Whether someone on a phone can reach you in one tap, or has to pinch, zoom, and hunt for a number.
- Whether your phone number is tappable, or just text sitting in a header image where a thumb can't use it.
- What happens to a form submission after “send” — where it goes, and whether anyone answers it.
- Contact paths that dead-end: broken links, forms that error out, pages that 404.
- What a caller hears when nobody picks up, and whether it gives them a reason to wait or a reason to call the next company on the list.
- How fast your site loads on a phone on a cell connection, and what a visitor sees while they wait.
- Whether someone visiting after hours is told what to expect, or left guessing.
What we can't tell you
We can't see your call logs, so we won't claim to hand you an exact count of missed calls or a dollar figure for what they cost you. That would be a guess dressed up as data, and we don't want to sell you something we can't back up.
What we can do is point out the concrete, observable gaps in your site and phone flow — things we found by using them the way a customer would — and let you decide what's worth fixing.
What you get, and what it costs
$99
A hands-on teardown of your website and call-handling setup, and a short, specific list of the gaps most likely costing you booked jobs. You get the written fix-it list within a week.
No software to install. No contract. What you do with the list is up to you — fix things yourself, hand it to whoever runs your website, or ignore it.
Who you're dealing with
Cold Spring Works is a small operation founded by Chad Malmrose. We work remotely — the whole teardown is done through your public website and phone number, the same way a customer reaches you. If you email, Chad is likely the one who answers.
